This is a change we have thought about for almost 6 months we mentioned it a while back in a previous post and now we finally thought its time to bite the bullet. Seeing a few other people make a similar move help inspire us including Corbett Bar and Rasmus from their respective blogs.
What’s up with the change?
Well first of all we were sick of the name “lifestyle business design”. Lifestyle business is a bit BS and over hyped these days and we are sick of writing about this area and other related topics.
Second we feel like LBD was a great avenue for our first full year here in The Philippines in business and we were more young and naive. But! Its time to grow up and move on from that chapter of our life and move onto bigger and better things!
Third it was just time for a change LBD had an ok following/traffic but it was really going nowhere and we were not passionate enough at all to make it work.
Lastly using our company website to blog gives us the chance to expand our brand “Kaizenify” and really focus on our own brand not something created by the 4hourworkweek.
What To Expect And Our Change
So what can you expect from this blog? Well basically more quality content including interviews with some really cool people! We want to get to know cool people in the outsourcing industry, Ecommerce Industry and SEO/PPC industry. Basically we want to interview legit business people that might not usually be interviewed by other podcasts. People that are here in The Philippines even that might have a great business but are not running a blog or some other online media business that are already on 99% of podcasts.
We want to connect with more people and network more to get to know smart people and see what is is that they need and want so maybe we can help serve them and their business. This will help us create great products that sell easily. In the past we have create products off just our instincts with no research and then to follow it up no marketing….this is a recipe for failure right!? While doing the networking, connecting and interviews we get the chance to meet really smart people and create great content for the world so its a win win for us and everyone involved!
